What is beard oil, why do I need to be using it?
Beard oil revitalizes your beard by nourishing both hairs themselves and the underlying skin, as the hair from your beard is constantly depriving your skin of it's natural oils, or sebum. In comes beard oil, replenishing necessary oils and acting as a conditioner for your beard leaving it soft and smooth.

What's in beard oil?
Carrier oils account for the majority and have the most effect, while acting as a transporter for the essential oils that would be too harsh on their own.

Oils we love:

Jojoba - Most closely resembles sebum, the oil produced by your skin naturally. Jojoba helps control acne and is full of protein, minerals, and vitamins A, D, and E.
Sweet Almond - Great for dry, sensitive skin especially if prone to eczema. Your beard starts with the skin below!
Hempseed - With a high content of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, hemp oil has a composition similar to skin lipids, which makes it an excellent natural emollient and moisturizer. It is especially useful for dry, tired or dehydrated skin and nails.
Tea Tree Essential Oil - Curbs acne, fights eczema, and relieves psoriasis - the irritation caused by the collection of dead skin cells on the surface. Will also alleviate razor burn from those clean up shaves!

How do you apply it?
Depending on your amount of facial hair, place 2-6 drops into your palm and rub into your beard, working your way up from the bottom and being sure to reach your skin underneath. Use any excess for hands or hair styling, for example.

How often should I use it?
Again, beard by beard basis. Start by treating it like brushing your teeth, with the best time to apply it being after a shower with a damp beard.

How do I properly store beard oil?
Your beard oil should be stored at room temperature out of direct sunlight. Give it a good shake if you haven't used it in a few days.
